I had a great morning with lovely Miss M and her mom.  She and my son are in preschool together so we have been wanting meet and do this.  The stars finally lined up and we got her four year session done today ;)   We went to several locations near their home in the country and I love all the variety we got.  Enjoy the sneak peek and more, lots more, to come soon!

This little beauty cut off about 10 inches of her hair for Locks of Love today.  We met to do the before photos in the bright and windy morning yesterday and ended this evening near sunset.  What an unforgettable gift Miss A. has given to a complete stranger. Her new hair style is beautiful, as is she :)

As always, I give a complimentary mini session and two desk portraits (before and after) to children just like her, that donate their hair for such a great cause.  It’s almost time for school to start, so I know there are more donations to come soon hopefully, so contact me if you know of a young donor!

These beautiful wall portraits are one of my newest products to offer.  Your image is printed on your choice of luster or vibrant metallic paper then it is carefully hand wrapped around the mounting board.  Placed between your image and the mounting is a soft substrate to further enhance.  The back of wall sizes includes a mounting block and it comes to you ready to hang.  It is lightweight and appears to float slightly off the wall for a very nice display but these also look fabulous propped up on a shelf or mantle.  Float Wraps are available in sizes 8×10 and up.  (My sample is on loan and above is a vendor product sample image).

Melissa and I had a wonderful time getting to know each other this morning. She’s expecting her first baby in a couple of weeks and I am so excited for her!! We talked the whole time and traded pregnancy stories :) I wasn’t going to post these until after my vacation, but I just couldn’t wait to see some of what we came up with. For me, photographing a newborn is truly an honor.  Parents give me their trust in caring for and handling their week old baby for a few hours and I supply them with unforgettable images.  Now, I want to take it one step further and I am putting out a casting call, so I need the help of my readers.

I will soon be offering In-Hospital Newborn Lifestyle Portraiture.  It is to take place within hours or the day after the birth (in-hospital only, no homes at this time). In a documentary fashion, I will photograph your new baby and the interaction with his/her new family in about an hour, unobtrusively, naturally and unposed.  The emotion of a new baby is indescribably beautiful and I want to document that for my clients.  While I am unable to offer birth photography (child-care issues), this is the next best thing and I cannot wait to begin this new journey.

Here’s the casting call information, so please pass it on if you know any ladies that are expecting a new baby by September 1st or so.

- baby must be delivered in the hospital by the first week in September (offer may be cancelled or extended as needed).

-hospital must be within a thirty minute drive of Allen zip 75002.

- I need to be contacted asap post-birth or within 6-8 (normal) hours so I can accommodate you (the sooner the better).

-a model release must be signed by both parents.

- the session will be free, you will receive ten digital images and a discount on any orders.

-there is no financial obligation for the parents, this is a free offer.

-please contact me in advance, but if you know someone now, please forward the info to them.

On another note, I will be out of the office spending time with my family from July 18-21.  Emails be checked on occasion but all calls will go to voicemail.

2011 SENIORS NEED TO BOOK ASAP.  Seriously.   I will have a full calendar between November ’10 and May ’11  and will have no availability before Graduation.

What’s that mean for you?  I have 14 dates available between now and October 31st for Seniors.  After that- I will be long gone and you’ll have to miss out on getting your fabulous Senior photos done by me.  :D    So, most of the dates are weekends, but I can do some weekday evenings as well.  Don’t wait- these dates are going to be gone very soon with this announcement.  Email info@rhondaduronphotography.com  to check availability and get all the details.
