Meet one hour old Nathalia as her excited (and big!) family welcomes her to the world after she’s born.  Her big brother is as adorable as she is! Congrats L & J. She’s gorgeous and thank you for inviting me into your hospital room :)

You may recognize baby Brett from [this] in-hospital newborn session from last week.  Oh, how babies change in just a few days.  He began the session wide awake but after a nice, long feeding he was out peacefully for hours.  His parents are just smitten with him and I can see why.  He’s beautiful and as perfect as can be.

* this was also the first baby- in my three years of newborns- never to go potty on me or my blankets! :)

I finally met sweet Brett this morning.  He was so excited to see his anxious parents, he made his entrance a week early.  Welcome to the world little guy and see you for your full session this weekend!

For me, photographing a newborn is truly an honor.  Parents give me their trust in caring for and handling their week old baby for a few hours and I supply them with unforgettable images.  Now, I want to take it one step further and I am putting out a casting call, so I need the help of my readers.

I will soon be offering In-Hospital Newborn Lifestyle Portraiture.  It is to take place within hours or the day after the birth (in-hospital only, no homes at this time). In a documentary fashion, I will photograph your new baby and the interaction with his/her new family in about an hour, unobtrusively, naturally and unposed.  The emotion of a new baby is indescribably beautiful and I want to document that for my clients.  While I am unable to offer birth photography (child-care issues), this is the next best thing and I cannot wait to begin this new journey.

Here’s the casting call information, so please pass it on if you know any ladies that are expecting a new baby by September 1st or so.

- baby must be delivered in the hospital by the first week in September (offer may be cancelled or extended as needed).

-hospital must be within a thirty minute drive of Allen zip 75002.

- I need to be contacted asap post-birth or within 6-8 (normal) hours so I can accommodate you (the sooner the better).

-a model release must be signed by both parents.

- the session will be free, you will receive ten digital images and a discount on any orders.

-there is no financial obligation for the parents, this is a free offer.

-please contact me in advance, but if you know someone now, please forward the info to them.

On another note, I will be out of the office spending time with my family from July 18-21.  Emails be checked on occasion but all calls will go to voicemail.

I met sweet baby Isaac, his two beautiful big sisters and the beaming parents this morning.  He has the sweetest little baby lips and itty bitty feet.  I adore the newborns for their sweet little parts that change far too quickly.  Near the end while he was feeding, I took some fun shots of the sisters and they were as giggly as can be.  Enjoy the sneak peek J & Y.  More to see soon :)

I spend a lot of time this weekend with sweet baby Maya.  She blessed her anticipating family two weeks early and she could not be more perfect.  She has the most gorgeous head of hair that I have ever seen on new baby- not to mention those scrumptious feet.  She makes it very clear why I love this job so much.  Her mom was referred to me and she said she knew I would capture all those sweet little parts that newborns lose so quickly.  I adore all the time we spent together and I hope you enjoy the sneak peek (extended peek I should say!)  :)
