I don’t do much air travel, but when I do, I love the window seat.  There is so much beauty up above the earth.  It’s peaceful.  It’s majestic.  All those colors in nature.  The little things we never pay attention to when we’re on the ground (or surfing the web).  It is amazing to experience, if you take the time to watch it.

More about my WPPI | Vegas trip to come.  After Spring Break I’d assume.  Lots to do in the weeks ahead.  I will also soon post about the need for 2011 High School Senior Models.  If you’re dying and can’t wait for the post, go ahead and email me and I’ll put you on the request list.  Lots to do, so until then…  thank you for your patience.

A few of my new Senior products have arrived so I wanted to show them off here.  I’m super excited about these and both products are refreshingly different than some of the items you see.

These are press printed wallets.  These are my new favs since they are very easy to customize for each senior and are two-sided designs.  These are perfect to place inside your graduation announcement or exchange with friends.   These come in linen (shown below) or glossy UV papers.

I predict that these gems will be voted 2010′s most desired product.  Parents and seniors both went gaga last year for the 5×5 spiral printed brag book, which are still available…. BUT- these are beautifully press printed full 5×7 pages.  Each page is two-sided so you see images with every flip!  The book has smooth, rounded corners and the front and backsides are hard mounted which makes them more durable.  Customize the front to your liking and show these babies off!!

I could not wait to share a few minutes of my morning.  My three year old son was playing out in the backyard this morning.  He knocked on the backdoor and I opened to him exclaiming “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” and he handed me flowers. First the little ‘daisies’ went into my hands, then he went and hand picked the only dandelion ‘flower’ he could find.  He was so careful to pull it from the ground to save the stem.  Then he went to the purple Ruellia bush and started gathering those bright buds.  He ended with some green leaves from yet another plant and set the little ‘daisies’ on top.  I think it’s quite a lovely and colorful bouquet!

(No- it’s not my birthday either… but it felt like it today.)

(Edited 9-9-09..  Thank you for such wonderful feedback and emails about these Seniors!!!  I’m humbled and thrilled to begin offering this.  I’m starting the rep shoots this weekend :)  I need 1 more 2010 female for Allen High School still.  Date can be adjusted for asap.)

Out of no where these past two weeks I am getting several requests for 2010 Senior portraits.  I’d considered these before, but thought it was a little late for this new crop of Seniors, but I have been corrected and requested!!!  I’m all for this new adventure, so I’m needing 2010 Senior reps to help me out!  I need both male and females to model at various locations in the area asap.  The sessions will be free, orders will be nicely discounted and other goodies are given for free… like cash for other senior referrals!  I have new Senior products in the works too.

Each Senior needs to be fun, social, active, fashionable, and enjoys being photographed.  Best friends/boyfriends/siblings welcome to join- as long as they are Seniors and fit the criteria too.

Email a short bio and a recent snapshot to info@rhondaduronphotography.com and I’ll let each inquiry know more details as they occur.  2010 is their year, so I’m completely open to their ideas and suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

One word: Lips.   Two words:  nose dots.  Those combined make me a sucker for newborns.  This baby had the most beautiful lips ever… perfection.
Sophia.  A beautiful, beautiful girl who delighted me with endless smiles.  I could not get enough of her when she slept, so I was happy that her parents didn’t run me out of their home after so long.  It finally stopped raining, so we went outside for a bit and the beautiful backyard was a perfect setting for those!
It was so difficult to choose some favs for the blog, but I just can’t spoil them all :)

Enjoy J & T, it was a pleasure spending the day with your little family of three. I have the best job ever!  Have I said that before?

I am in search of newborns that will be born in April or May.  I had several fine art and new ideas to try out and need a few (very) patient and willing parents with a Spring bebe coming.  I have some specific needs, so if you fit, please let me know asap.

You will get:

-a complimentary 2-3 hour session

-a set of 24 custom birth announcements

-no obligation to purchase

-web gallery for sharing

Here are the specifics:

Casting #1

- newborns of various ethnicities; under 2 weeks old

- twins are a plus

- sessions are geared toward specific images (others if time allows)

Casting #2

- newborn under 2 weeks + both parents

- both parents need to be fit and comfortable with their body; tattoos are fine on dad

- session is geared mainly for simplistic artful skin to skin images with parents holding baby (not nudes)

Casting #3

- newborn with parents for a black and white photojournalistic session (un-posed, family interaction)

- need a spacious modern home with lots of natural light and nice furnishings + finished nursery

Sessions will take place at your home (within 30 miles of Allen) and a signed release is required.  Please use the email link or call to inquire at 214-536-6889.  If you or anyone you know (or see) is expecting soon, please have them contact me asap. This is a limited offer and I only need a few spots!

This little bundle was pure sweetness.  Once he fell asleep he let me wrap and fold him to no end!  I adore those squishy new lips and he gave us a few mommy-melting grins.  After spending hours with him, baby fever was sure to come!

{ THE KEEPSAKE ALBUM }
These 5×5 albums are my newest product addiction.  I have a steady stream of samples coming in and I can’t seem to stop ordering them! Rarely do I find a product that I am so crazy about… With several photo borders to choose from, the albums are designed this way to eliminate the need to rotate the album- or your head- because of the image format.  Plus, square crops on every image can be boring, so this is a perfect alternative in a cute little proof-style album.
By the way, this hand-made beauty is currently offered in my Digital Keepsake Collection at an enormous discount.  If you havn’t seen my new Products brochure on the website- this collection includes all of your full-res digital images on CD,  5×7 prints of each image, plus this Keepsake Album.  It is an introductory offer too :)
Here’s one of the samples I currently have.  It’s appropriately called Platinum Blonde.
Each album is custom made and there are SO many cover options available.  Smooth suedes, eco-friendly faux leather and upscale silk brocades to name a few.  There truly is something for everyone and it’s good to stand out from the usual black leather albums offered- have some ALBUM PERSONALITY already!  The animal friendly faux leathers are indescribably soft and supple.  I get lots of oooh’s and ahhhh’s on those.

Here’s the page and binding detail.  These are thick sturdy white pages and the 5×5 photos are hand mounted.  Black are pages also available.
Here’s a sample page spread with color photos, just for fun!
{ MUSEUM MATTED GIFT PORTRAITS }
What could be a more perfect gift than a beautifully matted portrait?  Your favorite image is placed behind a 6-ply archival museum mat and presented with a chartreuse satin ribbon.
This charming gift can easily be slipped into a modern frame or placed on an easel for an elegant display.
Shown is the 5×5 portrait in an 8×8 mat.  Also available is a 5×7 portrait in an 8×10 mat. (Images can be carefully removed from the mat)
