Just a quick byebye to you all.  For now.  I’m going to the WPPI photographers conference in Las Vegas and will be gone from March 5-10.  I’ll check phone and email occasionally and will get back to you asap.  Wish me luck in leaving my family behind for all that time.  I’ve never been gone more than one night from my three year old!  Thank goodness for iChat so I can see their sweet faces anytime I want.  Have a great week and enjoy this awesome weather!

Also, I do have spots left for 2010 seniors during spring break and beyond.  It’s time to get those booked.  June graduation is not far- just three more months!

I’ve gotten super busy today to make several slots available for Senior sessions.  If you still need to book your 2010 Senior portraits, I have just added additional slots for the week and weekends surrounding Spring Break.  I have both morning and afternoon slots on some days, unless noted below.

And… here is a special offer just for Seniors to get you in high gear for the dates below! If you get a friend to book a Senior Impression session too and you both do the session at the same time on the same day (BFF sessions are the best and most fun!) then you will both get $50 off your session fees.  If you can’t find a friend and want to do a solo Senior Impression session, I’ll take $20 off your session fee.  More updates will be added to my Facebook page, so fan me!  Spring Break sessions need to be booked asap so don’t wait long!

March Availability:

13, 14, 15:  a.m. and p.m. slots on most days

16, 17, 18:  6pm slots for Senior Cameo 1 hour session only, one per day. If you must have a Senior Impression session one of these dates, email me know by March 2nd and I’ll do my best for you!

20, 21:  both a.m. and p.m. slots available.

Here are the senior session option available:

Senior Impression $275 -up to four hours at 3 or 4 locations in DFW.  Multiple clothes changes and breaks allowed.  This is the most popular choice since you get all the variety you’ve dreamed about! This option gives you at least 45-50 images to choose from. There is a $300 minimum order required for this session from each booked Senior.

Senior Cameo $200 -one hour at one local (Allen or McKinney) location.  May have time for one partial clothing change. This option gives approximately 20 images to choose from.  There is a $400 minimum order required for this session.

I’m putting out this information all over the place, so email me at info@rhondaduronphotography.com asap to book your slot and it’s first come, first served!!  Feel free to pass this post on to your friends that need a session and you still get to rack up those referral credits.  Make sure they name YOU as the referral for your $50 print credit.  Email today and ask for the Senior Portrait Catalog for all the details!

Had more fun with Cam in the backyard today and we made this cool guy (pun fully intended). Hope you all are having fun in the snow before it’s gone.  I hope I get additional interest in some Snowy Mini Sessions for in the morning.  I only need four booked to make it happen so spread the word.  Take 15 minutes out of this historic snow fun and have some fun on camera :)  Email now for details!

(Added 2/12/10- the snow will still be here tomorrow morning, so if you are wanting a Snowy Mini Session here in Allen, send me an email NOW!)

Glory, glory hallelujah!!!  We have 4 inches of beautiful white snow on the ground.  I don’t remember when we last had this much in North Texas and we are as giddy as we can be :)  My son and I started in the backyard and quickly got bored of the small space and went for a quick drive and did a little snow trekking.  He’s been sick lately so he was thrilled to wake up to this and get a little time in outside.

This will be a memory forever burned in my mind.  I first got a sweet kiss from him in the snow, then in the car he said I was the best mommy ever.  Sigh :)

So I LOVE snow portraits.  No tough time getting smiles and natural interaction.  I SO wish this was on a weekend so I could do some fun SNOWY mini sessions here in Allen.  Maybe we’ll have some left Saturday morning.  (I don’t have a keeper for the child Thurs/Fri or I’d be calling everyone in today for snow mini’s!) If you have  any interest in a Saturday morning mini- IF there is any snow left- email me at info@rhondaduronphotography.com

Enjoy the mini blizzard!

Oh my! How fun!

A few of my new Senior products have arrived so I wanted to show them off here.  I’m super excited about these and both products are refreshingly different than some of the items you see.

These are press printed wallets.  These are my new favs since they are very easy to customize for each senior and are two-sided designs.  These are perfect to place inside your graduation announcement or exchange with friends.   These come in linen (shown below) or glossy UV papers.

I predict that these gems will be voted 2010’s most desired product.  Parents and seniors both went gaga last year for the 5×5 spiral printed brag book, which are still available…. BUT- these are beautifully press printed full 5×7 pages.  Each page is two-sided so you see images with every flip!  The book has smooth, rounded corners and the front and backsides are hard mounted which makes them more durable.  Customize the front to your liking and show these babies off!!

I had the best session today!  This beautiful family of nine stood out in the muddy, cold and windy weather to do their family session.  We had a fun time and I got the variety I insist on (and you know how I love variety).  I always tell my clients before we begin that I tend to wear them out and to tell me when they’ve had enough of me!  I just love what I do and can easily get carried away :)

It was a pleasure meeting you, the E. Family and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Great work! My favorite is the last one where, to me anyway, it’s Philip saying, “Look at this family! I am surrounded by so much love!”

Watching all the news coverage is so frustrating.  All those souls who are suffering in Haiti and there’s not much I can do personally.  I’m not in a position to help other than donating much needed money.  And prayer.

Instead, I am going to try to do something else to help, but I need your help too!  Here’s the deal:

You and your sweetheart can win a romantic photo session just for the two of you.

-this session will occur on Saturday evening, February 6th near sunset and will last under two hours.

-session is exclusively for two adults who are madly in love, no children may be present.

-the winner will receive twenty high resolution images on a disk for their own printing.

How to win:

- make a minimum donation of $10 to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund online, via mobile phone or other way.

- Forward me a copy of your receipt to info@rhondaduronphotography.com

- all entries must be received by 10pm on Friday January 29th and the winner will be selected at random and announced the following day. This gives the winner one week to plan, shop and get childcare for a couple of hours- plus you’re bound to need some alone time with your love.  You don’t have to be a parent to enter and you don’t have to be married (as long as you’re over 18, you count!).

- my only requirement is this: you must be truly madly deeply in love. This will be a very special session for the two of you.  Something unlike what my clients have ever seen from me before and have wanted to do, so I need a special couple.  There will be no formal posing, the two of you will be very close, touching, whispering, laughing, being completely romantic at sundown at the outdoor location of my choosing in Allen.  You will have to be very comfortable snuggling in front of the camera- so keep that in mind!

Other details:

- you can enter as many times as you like, but each entry must be the minimum $10 donation and receipt included.

- both participants must sign a model release.

- if the winner does not claim their prize by January 31, or cannot claim the prize for any reason, then another winner will be chosen.  Winner must be available between 4-6pm on February 6th, 2010.

So let get started! Please forward this post to all your friends, co-workers- put a link on your Facebook page or on your blog if you have one.  Good luck and happy donating!
